My top 5 favorite photography workshops and online classes

December 13, 2018

I’ve taken multiple online photography classes and attended in person workshops. These are my personal top 5 which have helped me to grow my business and taught me everything I know about photography!

1.Vicky Baumann Wedding Photography Workshop

My first ever photography workshop, and by far one of my favourites. I attended her workshop back in 2016 and her business has grown so much since then. She now offers online classes, destination workshops, as well as workshops in her own home. She’s such a lovely person and I learned so much from her. Her workshop was definitely a great foundation for my business.

2.Stormy Solis All Hearts Access

I can’t recommend her enough. Stormy Solis is one of the best and most popular family photographers. She  is incredibly talented and has helped thousands of photographers transform their business. I’ve taken her “All Hearts Access“ online workshop and loved every single one of her videos.

3.Amy & Jordan Business Course

Amy and Jordan are former teachers and professional photographers. Since they began their career as educators, they’re amazing at teaching photography. They’re really easy to listen to and give great advice. They helped me become really confident in running my business professionally. Both the business course and the “Shooting & Editing Course” are worth every penny. They cover everything from branding, website and social media to accounting and taxes.

4.Amy & Jordan Shooting & Editing Course

Amy and Jordan have a completely different editing style than I do. However, the basics are the same when it comes to understanding your camera, lighting, and composition. Taking Amy & Jordan’s Shooting & Editing course helped me really understand my camera settings and get a better image straight out of camera.

5.Leni Moretti Eltern und Kinder Online Workshop

This won’t be much help for my English speaking friends since this is a German class but I had to include this one in my top 5. When I first started photography, I did weddings, maternity, and family session. After my son was born I quickly realized that taking lifestyle pictures of your baby and toddler is a lot harder! Taking pictures of my own son indoors in difficult lighting conditions was definitely a challenge. Leni’s course has taught me everything I needed to take amazing lifestyle pictures of not only my own wild child, but also my clients’ kids.
