Day 1: Arrival and Air Bnb Experience
After a smooth flight with RyanAir, we arrived in Rovaniemi and checked into our cozy Air Bnb accommodation. With a sauna and a kids playroom, it was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of travel. We settled in and prepared ourselves for the adventures that awaited us.
Day 2: Reindeer Sleigh Ride and Santa Village
Our second day began with an enchanting reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy landscapes of Lapland. As we glided through the winter wonderland, we felt a sense of tranquility and awe. Afterward, we visited Santa himself at Santa Village.
Day 3: Ice Restaurant and Ice Skating
On day three, we decided to embrace the icy beauty of Lapland by dining at the famous Ice Restaurant at Snowman World. Surrounded by carved ice sculptures, we enjoyed a delicious meal in a truly unique setting. Later, we laced up our skates and hit the ice rink. Ice skating in Rovaniemi while snowflakes fall from the sky creates a picture-perfect moment that captures the essence of a true Arctic winter wonderland.
Day 4: Husky Farm Adventure
Our fourth day, We visited a husky farm and had the opportunity to learn about these amazing creatures and the kids even had the opportunity to pet one.
Day 5: Chasing the Northern Lights
Unfortunately, we couldn’t witness the beauty of the Northern Lights but we highly recommend downloading the My Aurora App. It sends you notifications whenever the lights were visible.
