Celebrating Milestones in Mallorca

February 28, 2024

Mallorca, the stunning Balearic Island in Spain, offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, rich history, and vibrant culture. From our cozy stay at the guest house Es Pascolet in Inca to the breathtaking sights of Valdemossa, Alcudia, Palma, and the Drach Caves, this blog post will provide you with a glimpse into our incredible experiences.

Length of stay: seven days

Time of year: August

Accomodation: Es Pascolet, Inca (7 adults, 2 kids)

Airline: RyanAir

Transportation:  rental car

Things we’ve done:

  • Valdemossa
  • Alcudia
  • Palma
  • (Drach Caves)

Restaurant recommendations:

  • Puig de Santa Magdalena
  • Suro, Inca

Day 1: Arrival and Settling into Es Pascolet

After a short flight with RyanAir, we arrived at our charming guest house, Es Pascolet, in Inca. With its warm hospitality, spacious rooms, cozy patio, and outdoor pool, it was the perfect base for our Mallorcan adventure. The guest house’s serene atmosphere and picturesque surroundings instantly made us feel at home.

Day 2: Exploring Valdemossa

Our first full day was dedicated to exploring the enchanting village of Valdemossa. The narrow cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and stunning mountain views created a truly magical ambiance. We highly recommend visiting the famous Valdemossa Monastery and indulging in some local delicacies at the charming cafés.

Day 3: Discovering Alcudia’s Rich Heritage

Alcudia, a town steeped in history, captivated us with its ancient walls, Roman ruins, and vibrant market. We spent the day wandering through the charming streets and decided to end our day in Alcudia with an afternoon on the beach.

Day 4: Unveiling the Charms of Palma

Palma, the capital city of Mallorca, welcomed us with its impressive architecture, vibrant nightlife, and stunning waterfront. We spent the day exploring the iconic Palma Cathedral, strolling along the Paseo Maritimo, and eating ice cream.

Day 5: A Subterranean Adventure at the Drach Caves

The underground formations, crystal-clear lakes, and captivating light shows made it a truly unforgettable experience. We recommend booking a guided tour to fully appreciate the beauty and history of these natural wonders.

Day 6: Culinary Delights at Puig de Santa Magdalena

For a memorable dining experience with a breathtaking view, we visited Puig de Santa Magdalena. Nestled on a hilltop, this restaurant offered not only delicious Mallorcan cuisine but also panoramic vistas of the island.

Day 7: Suro, Inca – A Gastronomic Gem

Our stay in Inca wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Suro. From traditional Mallorcan recipes to modern twists on Mediterranean cuisine, Suro is a must-visit for food enthusiasts.

Celebrating Milestones in Mallorca

During our 7-day stay in Mallorca, we had the privilege of celebrating two special milestones – my parents’ 30th wedding anniversary and our daughter’s first birthday. To make these occasions even more memorable, we ordered some sweet treats from a delightful bakery called Cate Cake in Inca.

We were impressed by the bakery’s attention to detail and the personalized designs they created for our special occasions. The beautiful cake and cookies made our celebrations truly unforgettable.

Cate Cake exceeded our expectations and left us with a lasting impression. We highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking to add a touch of sweetness to their special moments in Mallorca.

Celebrating amidst the beauty of this island made our trip even more memorable and created memories that will be treasured for years to come.
